Why use it

Why use our Compress PDF to 200KB tool

Room for a few pages

200 KB comfortably holds a handful of scanned pages, such as a set of certificates.

Text kept when possible

Digital PDFs often fit with a lossless rewrite alone, so their text stays selectable.

Page sizes unchanged

Pages keep their A4 or Letter size, so the document prints exactly as before.

Adjustable

Need 150 or 250 KB instead? Change the number or tap a quick target.

Runs on your phone

Works in mobile browsers too, without installing an app or uploading anything.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

When do I need a PDF under 200 KB?

Some recruitment portals, university forms and scholarship applications set a 200 KB cap per document. Requirements differ between forms, so check the instructions you were given.

Will compressing to 200 KB blur my document?

Usually not noticeably for up to about five scanned pages. We choose the highest quality that fits, and only lower the resolution if quality alone isn't enough.

Why is my compressed PDF's text no longer selectable?

When the lossless rewrite isn't small enough, pages are stored as images. It looks the same but can't be searched. That's a normal trade-off for strong compression.

Can I compress several PDFs into one 200 KB file?

Merge them first with our Merge PDF tool, then compress the merged file here.
