Why use it

Why use our Sign PDF tool

Three ways to sign

Draw with smooth, natural strokes, type your name in a script font, or upload a scan or photo of your real signature.

Clean photo signatures

The white paper background is removed automatically, so an uploaded signature sits on the page like real ink.

Drag, drop and resize

Place signatures and initials on as many pages as you like, then fine-tune them with the mouse, touch or keyboard.

Add the date

Stamp today’s date (or any date) in the format you need, right next to your signature.

Works on your phone

Sign with your finger on a touchscreen. Rotated and cropped pages are handled correctly too.

Your signature stays yours

Everything happens in your browser. The document and your signature are never uploaded or stored.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Is a signature added this way legally binding?

This tool adds a visible electronic signature, the same kind you’d make by signing a printout and scanning it. Many countries accept electronic signatures for everyday agreements, but some documents require a certified digital signature or a wet-ink signature — check what the recipient needs.

Can I sign a PDF on my phone?

Yes. Open this page on your phone, choose Draw and sign with your finger, then drag the signature into place and download the signed PDF.

Is my signature saved anywhere?

No. Your signature only exists in this browser tab while you work. It is never uploaded, and it’s gone when you close or reload the page.

Can I sign several pages or add initials?

Yes. Create as many signatures as you like (for example a full signature and your initials) and place each one on any page, as many times as needed.

Can the signature be moved or removed after downloading?

No — the signature is flattened into the page content of the downloaded file, so it can’t be dragged around or lifted off like a sticker. Keep your original PDF in case you need to sign again.
