Why use it

Why use our Add Text to PDF tool

Text anywhere

Fill in forms that aren’t fillable, add notes or correct a detail — multi-line text boxes on any page.

Standard PDF fonts

Helvetica, Times and Courier in regular or bold, any size and color, so text looks crisp and prints perfectly.

White-out and highlight

Cover a typo or an old date with a white box, or mark key lines with a see-through highlighter.

Exact placement

What you see on the preview is where it lands in the file — even on rotated or cropped pages.

Keyboard and touch friendly

Move items with drag and drop, a finger, or the arrow keys, and delete them with one key.

Never uploaded

Your PDF is edited on your device. Nothing is sent to a server, so private documents stay private.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Can I change the text that’s already in the PDF?

Not directly. Cover the old words with a white-out box and type the new text on top — on most documents the result looks like an edit.

Does white-out delete the text underneath?

No. White-out hides content visually, but the original text is still in the file and may be found by copy-paste or search. Don’t rely on it to remove sensitive information.

Which languages and characters can I type?

Letters, numbers and punctuation used in English and Western European languages, including accents like é, ü and ñ. Other scripts such as Chinese, Arabic or Cyrillic aren’t supported by the built-in PDF fonts yet, and the tool tells you if your text contains them.

Can I use it to fill in a PDF form?

Yes. Click on each blank line or box, type your answer and adjust the size so it fits. It works on scanned forms too.

Is it really free and private?

Yes. There’s no sign-up, no watermark and no upload — the editing happens entirely in your browser.
