Why use it

Why use our Resume Builder tool

ATS-friendly PDFs

Real, selectable text in standard fonts with clear headings — applicant tracking systems can read every word, unlike image-based resumes.

Four clean templates

Classic, Modern with an accent sidebar, Compact for long careers and Minimal — each with your choice of Helvetica, Times or Courier.

Live, accurate preview

The preview uses the same layout as the PDF, so line breaks and page breaks match what you download.

Smart page breaks

Long resumes flow onto extra pages without splitting lines or leaving a heading alone at the bottom, with optional page numbers.

Every section you need

Summary, experience with bullet points, education, skills, projects, certifications, languages, custom sections and an optional photo.

Private by design

No account and no upload. Drafts are kept in this browser and you can export your resume as a JSON file you own.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Is this resume builder really free?

Yes. There’s no sign-up, no watermark, no paywall on the download and no limit on how many resumes or CVs you create.

Will my resume pass an ATS (applicant tracking system)?

The PDF contains real text in standard fonts with simple headings such as Experience and Education, which ATS software parses well. The single-column Classic, Compact and Minimal templates are the safest choice; avoid putting key information only in a photo.

Where is my resume data stored?

Only on your device. The PDF is created in your browser, “Save draft” keeps a copy in this browser’s local storage, and “Export JSON” saves a file to your computer — nothing is sent to a server.

What’s the difference between a resume and a CV?

In the US and Canada a resume is a short, tailored summary (usually 1–2 pages) while a CV is a full academic history. In the UK, Europe and much of Asia, “CV” simply means resume. This tool makes both — add as many sections and pages as you need.

Should I add a photo to my resume?

It depends on the country. Photos are common in parts of Europe, the Middle East and Asia but usually discouraged in the US, UK and Canada. The photo is optional and is cropped to a circle or square for you.

Can I write my resume in another language?

Latin-script languages such as English, Spanish, French, German or Portuguese work. Characters from other scripts can’t be shown by the built-in PDF fonts and are replaced with “?” — the tool tells you which fields are affected before you download.
