FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Can the watermark be removed?

The watermark is added as real text on top of each page, so it prints and appears in every viewer. Someone with PDF editing software could still remove it — for stronger protection use the tiled layout, which covers the whole page.

Which characters can I use in the watermark?

Letters, numbers and punctuation from Western European languages are supported by the built-in PDF fonts. Other scripts, such as Chinese or Arabic, aren't supported yet.

What opacity works best?

Around 15–30% keeps the page readable while making the watermark obvious. Use higher values for “DRAFT” stamps that must stand out.

Can I watermark only some pages?

Yes. Choose “Custom pages” and enter page numbers or ranges, for example 1, 3-5.

Is the preview exactly what I'll get?

Yes. The preview is made by applying the watermark to a page with the same code used for the final file, then rendering it.
