How it works

How to use Signature Resize 10 to 20 KB

  1. Photograph or scan your signature on white paper.

  2. Drop it here — the range is already set to a minimum of 10 KB and a maximum of 20 KB.

  3. Keep 300 × 80 px or switch to the pixel size your form names.

  4. Confirm the green 'Achieved' size in the preview and download the JPG.

Why use it

Why use our Signature Resize 10 to 20 KB tool

Both ends of the range

Many forms reject files that are too small as well as too big. The tool aims above 10 KB and below 20 KB, not just under the limit.

Minimum padding when needed

Tiny signatures can compress to 4–6 KB. If even the best quality is under 10 KB, harmless JPEG padding brings it up without touching the image.

Clean scan in one step

Paper shadows and grey backgrounds are turned white so the signature looks crisp on the form's preview.

Exact pixel box

Pick 300 × 80, 140 × 60, 200 × 100 or a custom size; the signature is centred, never stretched.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Why do forms ask for a signature between 10 and 20 KB?

Upload systems set a range so the image is readable but light to store. The exact numbers vary — this range is common, but always check the instructions on your form.

My signature comes out at 6 KB. Is that a problem?

Some portals reject files below their minimum. Keep 'Pad to minimum' on and the tool adds a small JPEG comment so the file reaches about 10.5 KB while the picture stays the same.

Is 20 KB the same as 20 kb?

On forms, 'kb' almost always means kilobytes (KB), not kilobits. We use 1 KB = 1024 bytes, the same as Windows and most upload checks.

Can I use a different pixel size with the same KB range?

Yes. Change the pixel size and the KB range stays at 10–20 KB; the tool re-tunes quality automatically.
