How it works
How to use Screen Recorder
Choose whether to record system or tab audio, your microphone and a webcam overlay.
Click Start recording and pick a screen, window or browser tab in your browser's dialog.
After the 3-2-1 countdown, present as usual — pause and resume whenever you need.
Click Stop (or your browser's Stop sharing button), preview the video and download it as MP4 or WebM.
Why use it
Why use our Screen Recorder tool
Screen, window or tab
Uses your browser's built-in screen capture, so you choose exactly what's shared — nothing else is recorded.
System audio + microphone
Record tab or system sound and your voice at the same time; both are mixed into one track.
Webcam picture-in-picture
Add a mirrored webcam bubble in any corner — great for tutorials, demos and feedback videos.
MP4 when possible
Records MP4 in browsers that support it, otherwise WebM — with a one-click Convert to MP4 option where available.
Nothing is uploaded
The video is recorded and stored in your browser's memory until you download it. No account, no watermark, no time limit.
FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Is this screen recorder really free with no watermark?
Yes. There is no watermark, no time limit and no account. Recording happens in your browser, so we have no servers to pay for.
Can I record my screen on a phone?
Mostly no — mobile browsers don't let websites capture the screen. Use your phone's built-in recorder: Screen Recording in Control Center on iPhone, or Screen record in Android's quick settings.
Why is there no sound in my recording?
In the browser's share dialog, tick “Share tab audio” or “Share system audio”. Chrome and Edge on Windows can share system audio; on macOS only tab audio can be shared. Turn on the microphone option to record your voice.
MP4 or WebM — which will I get?
Chrome, Edge and Safari can record MP4 directly. Firefox records WebM; you can convert it to MP4 here if your browser has an H.264 encoder, or play it in VLC.
Where is my recording stored?
Only in this tab's memory until you download it. Closing the tab discards it, and nothing is ever uploaded.
