FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What is sentence case?

Sentence case writes text the way normal sentences are written: a capital letter at the start of each sentence and lowercase elsewhere, apart from names and acronyms.

Will it capitalise names like Ali or London?

Only when they start a sentence. Other words are lowercased, so re-capitalise names afterwards — no tool can know every name. All-caps acronyms such as NASA and brand casing such as iPhone are kept while that option is on.

When should I use sentence case vs title case?

Sentence case suits body text, captions, buttons and many modern headings. Title Case is traditional for book, article and film titles.

Does it work on several paragraphs?

Yes. Paragraphs and line breaks are kept, and each sentence in each paragraph is handled.
