Why use it

Why use our Title Case Converter tool

Editor-style rules

Articles, short conjunctions and prepositions stay lowercase unless they begin or end the title or follow a colon.

Capitalise every word option

Switch off the small-word rule for YouTube titles, product names or anywhere every word should start with a capital.

Acronym-aware

Keeps SEO, USA or iOS exactly as written so your headline doesn’t end up as “Seo Tips for Ios”.

Batch titles

Paste a whole list of headings and each line is converted separately.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Which words are not capitalised in a title?

Usually articles (a, an, the), short conjunctions (and, but, or) and short prepositions (of, in, on, to, with) — unless they are the first or last word.

Does it follow APA, MLA or Chicago style?

The default rules match the common ground of these guides for most titles. Style guides differ on details such as prepositions of four or more letters, so check your guide for formal submissions.

How do I capitalise the first letter of every word?

Untick “Keep small words lowercase”. Every word then starts with a capital letter.

Will it fix titles typed in all caps?

Yes. If the whole title is in capitals it is treated as shouting and converted normally, then the title rules are applied.
